Mirror fronts from stainless steel<\/h2>\n

At the Starnberger See in Bavaria a personal builder made his dream come true. His stilt house and garden studio serve as hideaway and outlook in order to relax, to escape the every-day-life and to enjoy nature. By using the high gloss polished stainless steel \u201eSuper Mirror\u201c (material thickness 0,8mm) an intriguing effect is achieved. It nearly seems as if the front would melt with the environment and therefore it gives the impression of \u201cinvisibility\u201d. The structure of both houses is made of a prefabricated timber frame shoring, which was covered with wood panels. At the front a shortage was fixed with bracing method. Above special fastenings were used to fix the edged stainless steel panels. The plate edges overlap each other. These metallised stilt houses were produced in the manufacturers\u00b4 plant and a low loading truck brought them about 600km to Starnberger See, directly to the construction area, where they were positioned by a crane.<\/p>\n
